There are a lot of creams, lotions, balms and salves that I want to try and make as a good, natural, non-chemical-laiden solution to everyday needs. This one is the first of many, and it’s super super quick and easy. This is a basic healing balm, made with things you probably have on hand (if you’re into the essential oils thing). It’s just five ingredients and it will be a good go to for basic cuts and scrapes on every member of the family. So without further adieu:
1/4 cup of Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
3 Tbsp of Beeswax
1 tsp of Vitamin E Oil
10 Drops Frankincense
10 Drops Lavender
Heat the Beeswax and Coconut oil in a double boiler (or I just put my pyrex measuring cup in a pot of boiling water about 2-3 inches deep) until melted. Removed from heat and allow to cool for a few minutes. Add the Vitamin E and essential oils. Stir it up and pour it into a small container. Small mason jars like this work really well for these types of things.
See, it’s just that easy, fast and simple!
